He began studying at Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 2005 and graduated with honors in 2010. That same year, he began his doctoral program at his own faculty, the Department of Orthodontics, Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry. In 2015, he successfully completed his doctoral thesis titled "Comparative Evaluation of the Friction-Reducing Effect of Using Orthodontic Wires, Conventional Brackets, and Self-Ligating Brackets Coated with Super-Slippery Diamond-Like Carbon Nanoparticles on Tooth Movement."
He has earned the title of Orthodontic Specialist.
Serving her patients in her own clinic, Dr. Dt. Desen Karabağlar is a member of the Turkish Dental Association, the Turkish Orthodontic Association (TOD), the European Orthodontic Society (EOS), the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), and the Turkish Aligner Society.
He performs Orthodontic Treatment with Clear Aligns (Invisalign / Invisalign First), Fixed Orthodontic Treatment with Clear and Metal Brackets, Movable / Functional Jaw Orthopedics, Orthognathic Surgery and Obstructive Sleep Apnea treatment practices.
